About Me

I grew up in Louisiana where I first began seeing a therapist as a teen. That experience changed everything for me; it showed me how powerful it can be to have someone truly listen and help you make sense of what you’re feeling. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to become a therapist myself and devoted my energy to making that happen.

I earned my Bachelor of Science with a minor in Psychology from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers), and later completed my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern Methodist University. Since then, I’ve specialized in working with self-esteem, body image, and eating disorders. There are areas I feel deeply passionate about helping people heal from.

In my work, I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I draw from these approaches to create a supportive, compassionate space where clients can explore what’s underneath their struggles and build a healthier, more peaceful relationship with themselves.

I’m also a board member of the DFW chapter of IAEDP (International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals), where I help promote eating disorder awareness, education, and provider connection within the community. I love sharing this passion through public speaking as well, especially with SMU’s Master’s program for Mental Health Counseling, where I talk about understanding and treating eating disorders.

On the weekends when I take my therapist hat off, you’ll probably catch me grabbing an iced vanilla latte from Foxtrot, heading to a Pilates class, needlepointing while watching a rerun of Gilmore Girls, and ending the day trying out a new restaurant with my fiancé and friends (my current favorite spot is Sister).
